A Spirit Halloween Store is horror’s newest star, with some help from Christopher Lloyd

You can’t end an eerie season without visiting Spirit Halloween. And now, the iconic channels have their own features.

According to Variety, the seasonal pop-up store has signed a family-friendly Halloween Spirit contract with Strike Back Studios, Hideout Pictures, and Particular Crow.

Back to the Future’s Christopher Lloyd will star with She’s All That Rachael Leigh Cook, but the character details haven’t been revealed. The cast also includes Donnavan Koran, Dylan Frankel, Jaden Smith, Marissa Reyes and Mara Gibbs.

The new family / children’s adventure movie follows three junior high school friends who dare to spend the night at the Spirit Halloween Store on Halloween night and think they misplaced their candies and sweets. The children soon find out that evil spirits are plagued the store. The store owns the store’s animatronic display and decides to bring the eerie character to life. The three friends must survive the night and must not be obsessed with evil spirits.

David Pogue will make his directorial debut with the script by Billy Bates.

The synopsis reminds me of another Halloween movie by Christopher Lloyd. RL Stein’s “When Good Ghouls Got”. In a 2001 television movie, Lloyd starred with his fearless nephew as his beloved uncle who returned from death to save Halloween. The pair embark on a zombie-filled adventure that includes a high school bully, a murderous bakery, and a town that is afraid to celebrate all Halloween eves.

The production of Spirit Halloween has been completed, and the release date of the movie is set to October 2022. Hopefully Nick Ruthko has already written the theme.
